Zk’in Organics Hydrating Mist
Zk’in is an Australian brand recently launched in the UK and I’m already hooked. When you think about the entire realm of beauty products out there, I believe facial spritzes and mists are an overlooked key product. I’m not sure why, as along with other beauty insiders, I’m a big fan and they pack a punch when it comes to extra hydration.
Intended for use under your moisturiser, the brilliant thing about a facial mist is you can also spritz throughout the day to freshen up your makeup or when you and your skin are feeling dull and tired.
Pop it in the fridge for a cooling spray first thing in the morning or when you’re hot and bothered during steamy summer months.
Addiction is a strong word but the fresh, invigorating smell of this product is addictive. Organic Fucodian extract and Aloe Vera helps to reduce redness after UV exposure by 50 per cent and sun damage to the skin so it’s perfect for your beach bag. It has now got a permanent place in my kit.
NYR Wild Rose Beauty balm
This is a classic product which I simply cannot live without. It has multiple uses – an intense facemask, cleanser, gentle exfoliant and deeply nourishing balm.
I also use it as a lip balm and cuticle conditioner and it even tames my frizzy curls!
It contains the antioxidant Rose Hip oil which helps to keep the skin radiant and firm. If your skin is feeling really dry, apply a thicker layer before bed and wake up rejuvenated.
Melvita Eye Makeup Remover
I have finally found the ultimate organic eye makeup remover which banishes even waterproof mascara. I get a bit twitchy if I am running low on stock as this is a key item which I always keep in my makeup kit and pass onto my celebrity clients.
The special thing about this product is that it has the removal power but is totally gentle on the eyes and skin and contains no nasties.
Most removers make my sensitive eyes sting and I can literally slather my eyes with this product without any adverse reaction. Soak a cotton wool pad and leave on the eye for a few seconds before gently removing any eye make up.
Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream
If I’m working on a shoot with other make up artists, they always ask what I’m using to make my clients skin look so radiant. This is it! It’s the one product I wish that I could keep secret but I can’t keep my mouth shut about it – it’s simply too good.
Shockingly, even though the beauty industry changes at an alarming rate, it’s still tricky to find a choice of high quality cruelty free makeup brands which are organic.
This cc cream (colour correcting) is hands down one of my favourite products out there. If you like a full coverage base then this wouldn’t be suitable on its own but it’s great for a light and fresh finish. Alternatively, use it all over under foundation for a hydrated youthful effect or just on the tops of cheekbones for a fantastic healthy glow.
Neals Yard Remedies – Nude Lip Gloss
NYR’s make up range launched recently and I love it. The colour range is perfect for those who want a natural look and this lip-gloss is a make up bag staple for anyone who loves a quick, simple, transformative product. I’ve even had women who never wear make up ask me for this product after I’ve used it on them. As it contains no silicones or paragons, it feels natural and hydrating on the lips with no feeling of stickiness. I defy anyone to not love this lip-gloss!
